The GetBucks financial services provider has come up with an innovative financing package that is a first in the country of Eswatini. Get Bucks is now offering a water borehole facility in which Emaswati nationals can now have the ability to drill for water at their homesteads or business premises at an affordable rate.
Head of Sales at Get Bucks, Thulani Dlamini, says “the borehole financing package starts from E 40 000 and has a ceiling of E 250 000. The repayment period is between six and twelve months. In order for a client to qualify, they should submit a quotation, a recent payslip, a three months bank statement, proof of residence, a national identity number (ID) and an employment letter. The Get Bucks borehole financing package offers everything from drilling to installation and one need only visit their nearest branch in order to get financing.”
The Chief Operating Officer at Get Bucks, Madoda Mngomezulu indicated that “we are trying to live up to our tag line of let’s help you balance your life and money. Traditionally, financial credit providers just dish out money without knowing or caring how it is used. This financial package that we have assembled is an example of how loans from Get Bucks can be utilized. Towards this end we have partnered with people who have the expertise both in Eswatini and South Africa to make sure of success.”
Get Bucks started operating in 2014 and its operational model is to offer credit to salaried employees. There are two ways that the clients can use to repay their loans. The first is through a deduction at source product and secondly by the way of a debit order.
In order to ensure that clients receive the service that they have paid for, Get Bucks has struck up a strategic partnership with a drilling company as well as an installation company. The Director of My Cup Drilling Company who are partnered with Get Bucks, Bongani Masuku says “we have reliable equipment and so far we have drilled more than 15 boreholes for Get Bucks clients since we started in April. Our activity has mainly been in the Manzini region but we are looking to expand with more drilling rigs and to move to other areas where there is a demand. We cater for Non- Governmental Organizations (NGO), farmers and individuals and we make sure that people get clean water.”
Sihle Gwebu who represents the Mangethe Group that provide the installation of the pipes, tank stands, water tanks and taps to ensure that there’s running water is also pleased with the partnership. “We are optimistic in the future. A lot of people want to have boreholes but the problem they encounter is the financing. So the package that Get Bucks has put together will benefit many people who want to have clean potable water” she added.
The Get Bucks brand is currently undergoing an upgrade and this involved the relocation of their Manzini branch from the Riverstone Mall to the new Manzini Junction Shopping Complex in the Central Business District (CBD). In Nhlangano they have moved from the Nhlangano Mall to a new shopping complex on Masengula road. They also have a new branch in Siteki on Jacaranda Street opposite the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation offices. Thulani Dlamini has encouraged Emaswati to take this offer that they are providing and has promised that the first fifty customers who come on board with it will receive a 2.5 per cent discount.
